What Is a TRPG?

  • TRPG means tabletop roleplaying game.
  • You play a character and describe what they attempt.
  • Rules and dice resolve uncertain outcomes.
  • Story emerges from choices and consequences during play.
  • You do not need to know advanced system terms to start here.

What You Need To Play

  • A full set of dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20).
    • If all you have is a common board-game box right now, use the site 3D dice roller built into the site.
  • A notebook or text file for session notes.
  • 45-60 minutes and a willingness to make small decisions.
